Fourth Suspect Arrested in Georgia Homicide Investigation

Significant development in ongoing Acworth homicide case

Law enforcement officials in Acworth have arrested a fourth suspect in connection with the May homicide of local resident Aiden Kane Shaw. This arrest follows the apprehension of the initial three suspects several months ago, shedding new light on the case.

The newly apprehended suspect is 25-year-old Rodney Jacob Sanders of Cumming, who had evaded capture since the incident. Sanders now faces charges including a felony murder charge, two counts of aggravated assault and one count of first degree burglary.

On May 17, Acworth police responded to a possible home invasion and shots fired. When the officers arrived on scene at the apartment complex, they found Shaw deceased with multiple gun shot wounds.

The community has been closely following the case, and many residents express relief that another suspect is in custody. Contact the Acworth Police Department with any information regarding this case: 770-974-1232.
